Working with early years stakeholders in child obesity: ten steps for healthy toddlers rollout

The early years are a critical window of opportunity to establish positive eating habits that can last a lifetime, and to stave off the early signs of child obesity

The Challenge:

The Infant & Toddler Forum (ITF) wanted a campaign to establish the rationale for earlier intervention and greater recognition of the importance of good nutrition in toddlerhood, providing its diverse stakeholders with practical resources to fully engage with the topic.

Solution:

Our multi-pronged approach was to:

  • Support the ITF in translating the evidence into best practice guidance and practical resources on the importance of establishing positive eating habits in early life, ensuring that they are accessible and useful wherever toddlers are cared for
  • Working with like-minded organisations to help amplify the impact and enhance uptake of this knowledge and resources
  • Cascading it through a programme that trains the trainers, creating a snowball effect.

The Results Are In…

49M Media circulation
1.5M Families using the resources
586 Nursery settings using the resources
